Members of the NYU community gathered at Skirball Center last night to debate the impact of the Internet on people’s minds and political perspectives. On the team arguing for the motion that the Internet is closing people’s minds were Eli Pariser, author of “The Filter Bubble,” and Siva Vaidhyanathan, author of “The Googlization of Everything.” On the team contesting that the Internet creates diversity were Evgeny Morozov, author of “The Net Delusion: The Dark Side of Internet Freedom,” and Jaco
