Content/Speakers – In addition to some of the old staples like John Sullivan, Kevin Wheeler, Gerry Crispin, and Lou Adler, there is a great line up of sessions this week. Here’s what I am hoping to see:

Arie Ball from Sodexo will be there to talk about their Mobile recruiting strategies and a recently launched App. They have always been at the forefront of social recruiting, I am sure this will be a treat.
Larry Clifton – A very entertaining speaker, and winner of the ERE Recruiting Department of the year – Larry will be talking about how to create recruiter training and development programs.
Stephanie Lilak – I had the chance to meet Stephanie a few years ago when she just stepped into her role as Chief Staffing Officer for General Mills. She is an energetic and dynamic leader and I cannot wait to hear what she has done with their social media strategy.
Paul Hamilton – I had the opportunity to see Paul speak at a conference in NYC. Very entertaining. He is holding a 2 part break out session on the future of recruiting and in Part 2 “Recruitment Idol 2020!” You will not be bored in this one.

ERE Awards – The Spring Expo is the time of year for the ERE Excellence Awards.  I have been on the judging panel from it’s inception, and I can tell you there were some fantastic submissions this year.  John Vastilica will be leading an interactive session to announce the winners and review their stories. If there was ever a session to pick up on some best practices this is the one to attend.
Charity Poker – The ERE Foundation is an excellent charity that was established to support educational opportunities for disadvantaged young people. It has become a tradition to hold a charity poker tournament on the opening night. The reception will start at 7:00 pm on Wednesday night (just after the Welcome reception in the Exhibit hall) and the poker will start at 8:00 pm. As a sponsor of this event, we have arranged for professional dealers to run four tables.  Buy-ins will be on a first come first serve basis – so get there early to sign up.
Candidate Experience Awards – In a breakout session on Friday, Gerry Crispin will be leading a discussion with two of the winners of the 2011 Candidate Experience Awards. The Talent Board will be co-sponsoring a Wine Tasting reception on Thursday evening – If you would like to join us click here to add yourself to the guest list.
Exhibit Hall: There will be close to 60 companies in the exhibit hall demonstrating the latest and greatest in technology and solutions for the recruiting function. I look forward to walking the floor and taking some video clips of the demos so we can publish some more product reviews @InsideTMT. Be sure to check in soon to see them.
Hope to see you there!
